Isaiah
51:3... He will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like
the garden of the Lord.
Isaiah
58:11... And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and make fat thy
bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of
water, whose waters fail not.
As
we reflect on the hours gone by we see tremendous pain, incredible
hurt and violent death dumped upon the USA caused by terrorist
attack. Horrific pain in the lives of them that survived and of them
that are left behind.
As
outsiders we'll never be able to comprehend the magnitude of these
cruel acts. How can we help to sooth these hurts and to comfort them
that are mourning? Our words run short to take away their pain, but
any gesture in trying to help will bring comfort.
The
effort we'll make to reach out to them in need will help in sharing
their sorrow. A touch, a hug, a letter, a tear running down our face
will show sympathy in their great loss.
Let
us seek the face of the Lord to receive wisdom and guidance to become
effective workers in His Kingdom. Let us make effort to deny
ourselves and our own interest. Seek to focus on this hurting world
with compassion and to be more like Jesus Christ in giving of
ourselves to others, reaching out while we still can.
May
we make ourselves available to others and be His hand extended in
this insecure world with its vague future. My prayer is that many may
find peace in Jesus Christ, the Saviour because of the way by which
we represent Him.
Respectfully
submitted,
Minister.

Walk
In The Garden
Walk
with me, O Savior dear
in
this garden of wilderness
May
I sense Your caring near
while
all around there is a mess
In
this life and in our nation
many
things can grow so wrong
Weeds
outgrow a showy carnation
a
cry of agony may replace a song
This
garden badly needs Your Light
and
the warming beams of Your Son
which
will bring growth and delight
to
flowers that are almost gone
Lead
me on Your path to see
the
flowers which are about to wilt
Whom
from the heat of the tempest flee
as
they are laden with pain and guilt
Help
me, dear Lord to care for them
pulling
out overgrowth and weeds
While
You prune their battered stem
let
me bind the one who bleeds
Give
me a caring heart like Yours
an
observant eye to clearly see
the
hurting heart and all its sores
Teach
me the blessing that I must be
Let
me help to ease their pain
of
the flowers hit by storms
Let
me not treat them with disdain
but
apply Your love that transforms
Walk
with me, dear Lord of mine
in
the garden of Your Godly design
and
show me the real bloodline
of
the flowers that You refine
Let
their fragrance once more be true
to
what You intended it to be
For
Your glory, while I'll subdue
Since
it's You Who cares most tenderly

Isaiah
35:1... The desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
Psalms
84:11,12 ... For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give
grace and glory: no good thing will He withhold from them that walk
uprightly. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in Thee.
